Lil Malinich (Director) <\/em><\/strong>has been a core company member of Broadway-affiliated theatre company Working Artists Theatre Project (<\/em>www.WATProject.com<\/a>) since 2007, and co-founded the award-winning Canadian company Theatre Soup.  She has directed and produced productions with OK Theatre, Weldon Park Academy, Theatre Soup and the McManus Theatre.  Her diverse body of stage work includes classic and contemporary plays including Shakespeare, Chekhov, Tennessee Williams, Harold Pinter, Brad Fraser and Judith Thompson.  Leading roles with WAT Project include Timberlake: American Pulp, Rope, Life Without Parole, and the biographical play Fruits Unheard Of in which she portrayed American photographer Diane Arbus.  The Deluxe Illustrated Body, a play Lil co-wrote, received the Brickendon Award for Best Original Script and was produced in NYC by Spiral, Inc. under the direction of Janis Powell.  Feature film and TV credits include Vision Vehicle’s Construction directed by Malcolm Goodwin, Paradise written and directed by Marc Lafia, TV movie Red Hook High, ABC’s “All My Children” and FOX’s “Gotham.”  She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and has appeared in commercials and industrials in Canada and the US.  In addition to studying at the Susan Batson Studio, Lil has studied with Maggie Flannigan, Terry Schreiber and Giles Foreman, holds an Honors B.A in English and Dramatic Arts and a Bachelor of Education.  She has worked internationally as a teacher in Canada, New York, Paris and Rome.  Building community is essential to Lil’s work. Currently, she is working with Brain Jail Productions on the development of feature mockumentary film National Pastime in which she plays Little League Baseball coach, Allison Windsor.  Lil has collaborated with the David Lynch Foundation (For Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace) in creating staged reading fundraiser events, and developed the NYC screening series for David Lynch’s documentary Meditation, Creativity, Peace.  Lil is also an acting coach at the Susan Batson Studio and Joffrey Ballet School.  Many thanks to the Susan Batson Studio for being a constant and supportive home for evolving artists.  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audrey Davenport (Writer<\/em>) <\/strong>is glad to be back in the writer’s seat after a long hiatus in the world of improvisation. She has been in several different improv groups in London, UK: these days, she’s making up plays on the spot with Somewhat Theatre. A couple of weeks before lockdown, Audrey was at the Sweden International Improv Festival (SWIMP) being a grotesque devil and a whimsical sister whose duty it was to care for said devil. Before that, Somewhat Theatre was closing out Dublin’s Improv Fest Ireland, where she played a folkloric Celtic princess turned radical Communist. Her last proper writing happened years ago when she directed her play OOMPH! at the Giles Foreman Centre for Acting (which is where she studied acting for a year). Whatever she is doing, Audrey is committed to following her own deep delight and to sharing her fierce desires for social change and personal awakening.  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MARITE SALATIELLO (Actress and Producer) <\/em><\/strong>is an actress and director born in Italy.   Her artistic path began as a dancer and singer. As a member of  \u201c La Compagnia Della Danza \u201c she starred in several musicals such as Notre Dame de Paris, Chicago, and Moulin Rouge. She started her acting training in Rome with the Italian coaches Gisella Burinato and Michael Margotta, and also graduated in Law at Roma Tre University. She played roles in movies such as \u201cDalid\u00e0\u201d and  \u201cUn mondo Nuovo\u201d and created a partnership with the Sicilian Director Manfredi Russo for several movies he produced. She joined the Theatrical Company directed by Monica Cavatoi working on improvisation and body theater. In 2018 Marit\u00e8 was accepted to study at the Susan Batson Studio in New York City.  The full-time one-year program included studying \u201cThe Method\u201d with Master Susan Batson and Carl Ford and many other coaches. During this intensive process, she developed the character of Barbra Streisand in the context of a play about her life. This has lead to a collaboration with director and actress Lil Malinich and writer Audrey Davenport in creating my one woman show entitled <\/em>THE WAY I AM.  <\/em><\/strong>During Quarantine in NYC, Marit\u00e8 produced, wrote and played the leading role in the short horror film \u201cQuarantine.\u201d The film will be distributed on major online platforms.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Edu D\u00edaz (General Manager of The Way I am) <\/strong>is an actor, a theatrical producer, and a marketing & communications expert born in Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, Edu won the prestigious Fulbright scholarship in performing arts that brought him to New York City, where he is developing new theatrical projects under Broadway’s influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a theatrical producer, Edu has successfully produced many plays in the main stages of Spain. He is one of the creators of the romantic comedy \u2018Amores Min\u00fasculos,\u2019 a Candidate for the XVIII Max Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an actor, he has studied with the most important coaches from the United States, Spain, and Argentina, such as Susan Batson, Fernando Piernas, and Natalia Mateo. His first movie, ‘Smoking Club (129 rules)’, was selected in the 20th Malaga Film Festival (Spain), and it is now available worldwide, at Amazon Prime Video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edu acquired marketing and communications skills at Grupo PRISA, the biggest media company in Spain, where he worked for six years; firstly, as a Communications and Marketing manager of the economic newspaper ‘Cinco D\u00edas.’ Then, as a Brand Manager of PRISA NOTICIAS (EL PA\u00cdS, EL HUFFINGTON POST, ICON, and Rolling Stone, among others).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
